Kristen Morith
Senior Product Designer in Toronto
I excel at designing elegant solutions to complicated problems in the B2B space. My experience spans ad tech, smart cities, and digital infrastructure.
I'm a passionate advocate for users — I don’t just design interfaces; I challenge product assumptions, ask the right questions, and prioritize user experience at every step.
I bring a systems-thinking mindset and a rigorous, analytical approach to solving complex design problems.

WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK TOGETHER
“I genuinely value Kristen as a design partner—she helps ensure we’re aligned on the problem we’re solving before diving into solutions.”
“She pushes on the ‘why’ before we jump into solutions. It makes me think more clearly about product decisions.”
“One of Kristen’s greatest strengths is her genuine willingness and natural ability to empathize with our end users.

Vision Zero Challenge Hackathon, 2018
First Place
I led a team of seven to build a web-based mapping tool that helps City staff, politicians, non-profits, and activists explore and compare traffic collision data alongside predictive indicators generated through Bayesian analysis. Designed to support more informed decision-making, the tool aims to improve road safety for all users.
This three-month-long hackathon was sponsored by the City of Toronto and Ryerson University’s Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship. The challenge: “use data, design and technology to make all Toronto road users, especially seniors, newcomers and school children, safer immediately, and enable predictive and high-priority interventions in the future."
After winning the hackathon, we participated in a six-month fellowship at Civic Hall Toronto, a program of Code for Canada that connects civic innovators with city government. My team was the first group of civic innovators to partner with the program.
